HLG Obtains Landmark Civil Rights Ruling
Hornsby Successfully Defends Professor's Reputation
When a journalism professor and Dean of the Journalism School at the University of Georgia was falsely charged with sexual harassment, forced to step down from his position as dean of the journalism school, and suffered the loss of his reputation, we successfully argued in court that the actions were not only wrong, but that the professor's record should be cleared of any of these false charges.
This successful outcome led to a "landmark" ruling for our client. This ruling resulted in the only case in the United States where a federal judge has ordered a university to clear an individual's name, which is exactly what happened in this case.
After a 5-year fight to receive justice, our client has now been fully exonerated and remains a tenured professor at UGA.
